Compare Sevilla vs Celta Vigo

Market: 1X2 - Bet: Sevilla - Stake: $40 - Odds: -120 - Betvalue: 3.8%

Celta Vigo is a team I really like, but despite them winning three of their last four away games, I don’t see them having more than 40% chance of getting anything from this game at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Seville.

Sevilla are 4-1-0 at home in the league this season, and their incredible home form is nothing new for the Andalucian team. Last season they went 14-4-1 at home, the same as Real Madrid, only outdone by FC Barcelona who were 15-3-1. The season before they were 14-1-4 at home (4th best) and 13-5-1 in the 2014/2015 season.

Sevilla has one of the best teams they’ve had for a long time, and there’s every reason to have faith in their performances at home. They are managed by the former Celta Vigo coach Eduardo Berizzo, who knows the strenghts and weaknesses of all the Celta players, which should improve Sevilla’s chances of winning this match. After some tough weeks with many different club competitionbs, the international break should have helped the team catch their breath. A few players have been away on international duties, but this is also the case for Celta Vigo, who’ve had their most creative players Pione Sisto involved in hard WC playoff games against Ireland.

Celta Vigo

Celta have two victories and three defeats on the road this season in the league, and I expect a fourth defeat this time. They gave Malaga its first win of the season last time out, and while there are attacking quality in this Celta team, it’s clear that they don’t defend well. At the Sánchez Pizjuán stadium teams need world class defending to keep Sevilla from scoring, and Celta doesn’t have this. They’ve conceded 17 goals in 11 league games this season.

Two good teams will meet up in this match, but there’s no doubt which team has the most quality – in every single position. Celta Vigo have lost their last two visits to Sevilla, and not won any of the last five meetings with the Andalucian giants. This game should be another show of force by Sevilla, and I’d say they have about 60% chance of winning this game.

With that said, Celta Vigo could easily score a goal here, and the combo-bet “Sevilla win & Both Teams to Score” at 3.25 might offer the best betvalue.
